National Drive Electric Week - Sept. 22 - Oct. 1, 2023
National Drive Electric Week is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. This year it will take place September 22nd through October 1st. With advances in electric vehicle (EV) technology and more vehicle manufacturers offering EV models, it’s a great time to be in the market for an EV.

In addition to port tours, a kids’ zone, live bands, shopping, and banana-themed food and drink, this festival will host an EV showcase and educational booth, where you can interact with members of Electric Vehicle Advocates of Ventura County. These EV owners will be available to answer your questions on available EVs, rebates and incentives, and charging If you want to install an EV charger in your home, they can help to walk you through the process.

The main lawn will showcase cars, vans, SUVs, trucks, bikes, and other electric equipment. Vehicles will be displayed by their owners, who will be available to answer your questions. Community organizations and service providers will also be on hand to share their knowledge about EVs, charging options, and rebates. Sponsored by the Santa Barbara - Ventura Chapter of the Sierra Club, Clean Power Alliance, and EV Advocates of Ventura County.

Take the Pledge for Clean Air Day on October 4th
The public invited to participate in the sixth annual California Clean Air Day, which will take place on and leading up to October 4, 2023. Individuals are invited to take a “Clean Air Pledge” in their community, which encourages actions such as taking public transit, biking, planting trees, cleaning air filters, carpooling, and more.
